Your Next Social Media Post Could Start With a Short Command. But what does that look like?
2026-11-02

You know your business. You know what you want to tell people. But finding time to turn that knowledge into social media content is another task on an already crowded list.
Then there are the decisions: What should I write? How should I adapt it for LinkedIn? Which hashtags are relevant?
That is why I’m introducing 352 unique short commands in XpressPrompts’ new Social Media Posts and Hashtags category.
The aim is straightforward: help you give AI a clearer task without having to write a long brief from scratch.
What’s in the new category?
The collection brings together:
- 152 social media content commands covering posts, captions, articles, newsletters, video scripts, carousels and more.
- 200 hashtag commands covering industries, services, topics and types of business.
It includes commands for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, Bluesky, Quora, Medium and other platforms.
Start with the task you need done
You do not always need another content idea. Sometimes you need help turning an idea you already have into something usable.
For example:
/linkedin-post
Turn your topic or business update into a LinkedIn post.
/linkedin-newsletter
Develop your supplied material into a structured newsletter.
/article-to-social-posts
Adapt an existing article into social media posts.
/social-content-calendar
Organise your ideas into a content calendar.
/social-comment-reply
Draft a response to a comment using the context you provide.
Choose the task, then add your audience, key facts, tone and intended next step.
Hashtags that relate to your post
The hashtag collection includes commands such as:
/5-hashtags-care
/5-hashtags-construction
/5-hashtags-authors
/5-hashtags-bookkeeping
/5-hashtags-hair-extensions
Add your post or a short description so the request reflects what you are actually discussing.
For example:
/5-hashtags-care [A LinkedIn post recruiting experienced domiciliary care workers in Dudley.]
The instruction asks for five relevant hashtags, considering the topic, audience, platform and location where supplied. You can change the number when needed.
Keep your knowledge in the content
A command provides a starting point. Your experience, examples and judgement give the content its substance.
Tell AI what happened, who you want to reach and what you want readers to understand. Review the result for accuracy and make sure it sounds like you before publishing.

Make your next post the starting point
You do not need to work through all 352 commands. Start with one task already on your list: a business update, a newsletter, a caption or hashtags for a post you have written.
